
Note from BW of Brazil: These three women were chosen out of the original ten and won the right to compete for the title of Globeleza. Previous reports on this contest featured a controversial photo taken by a popular actress and host of the contest and the selection of the original ten contestants. Who do you think won?
The three finalists chosen to compete for the post of Globeleza 2014

Camila Silva, 19, from the state of Minas Gerias, Nayara Justino, 25, of Rio de Janeiro and Nara Carvalho, 26, of Bahia, were the finalists of which was elected the new Globeleza 2014. The three candidates were chosen on November 24th episode of Globo TV program Fantástico.

Camila and Nara entered in the contest by way of votes of the jury, composed of dance teacher Carlinhos de Jesus, Raissa de Oliveira, the Queen of the Drumbeat of the Beija-Flor Samba School, Samba musician Dudu Nobre and comedian Hélio de La Pena. Nayara was saved by the public in a poll performed live on the program’s website.

With 37% of votes, the beautiful black woman born in Volta Redonda, a city in the state of Rio de Janeiro, supplanted Flávia Mattos of Curitiba, Isabelle Sampaio of Pernambuco and Kamylla Ferraz of Bahia, obtaining the right to compete in the final.
