Rio actress/dancer Aline Alves, a dancer on the popular variety show Domingão do Faustão, dreams of a career in television working on Brazil’s ever popular novelas, but for now, she makes a point of separating things: “Being on Faustão can help me with this, but they’re different roads to travel. One day my time will come.”

 
 

Unmarried, she has already asked for a boyfriend as a gift to Santa Claus. And she confesses that flirting and quick relationships between artists who go on the show and the show’s dancers sometimes happens.

 

“If I said no, I’d be lying. But it’s something healthy, like in any work environment. Me, I’ve never gone out on a tangent.”

 

On the show, one of the dancers Renata Mattos met her husband, cameraman Jorge Luis Duarte da Silva Maia. Every 15 days, they travel together to São Paulo, where the attraction is transmitted, merging with the atmosphere of the marvelous city of Rio de Janeiro.

“We all admire each other a lot, support each other, without getting caught up in any jealousy. They knows how happy it makes me to be part of this team”, says the dancer who is also a designer. She gets says angry every time she hears criticism of the show’s host Faustão and the show. “They say bad things, but keep watching the show anway. And Faustão is dynamic, incredible! He has concern with us as if he was our father.”
