Note from BBT: It’s always shocking and saddening to read stories such as this one. A few days ago, this story was being shared all over social networks, being reported in various news outlets. You can never know what leads to these sorts of arguments which sometimes escalate into violence. I had never heard of the victim of this crime, but she did have a sizable following with her social network profile. Without any details, not knowing the victim, her husband or the couple’s history, I won’t make any sort of assumptions. But in my view, unless someone’s life is in danger and self-defense is necessary, I always see these sorts of crimes as unnecessary.
Influencer is stabbed to death by her husband in Valinhos
Bruna Quirino was a victim of feminicide last Sunday (9/5). The man also tried to attack the couple’s daughter and took his own life soon after.

A 38-year-old digital influencer was a victim of feminicide last Sunday night (9/5), in Valinhos, a city located on the interior of São Paulo state. Bruna Quirino was stabbed to death by her husband, Rodrigo Quirino, 40, in a condominium in the Bom Retiro neighborhood.
After murdering his wife, the aggressor tried to attack his own daughter, 20 years old. In the sequence, the man took his own life. According to the Civil Police, the gun used in the crime was seized, as well as two cell phones. The objects will be subjected to forensics.
The Municipal Guard was called at around 11 pm to intervene in a couple’s fight. When they arrived at the residence, the woman was already found dead next to her husband’s body.
Also, according to the Municipal Guard, the victim tried to leave the apartment and call for help after being stabbed, but fell on the building’s staircase. Following this, the husband committed suicide. The case was registered in the municipal police station as homicide, suicide and domestic violence. The investigation will be in carried out by the 1st Police District of Valinhos.

Bruna Quirino was an influencer and had more than 25.4 thousand followers on Instagram. She advertised about fashion, beauty and hair, and was also a zumba teacher at a gym in Valinhos.
Two days before she was killed, the woman shared a video she made with her husband, where she made a parody of what it was like to be her own husband’s boss. Bruna used to show her routine and some videos had Rodrigo participating.
On his Instagram profile, the attacker defined himself as “married, father, family and happy”. On Sunday afternoon, hours before she was murdered, the victim made posts informing her followers that she would record videos for her YouTube channel.
