The ninth feature in our series, Faces of Afro-Brazil, Gabriela Alves is 23 and from Londrina, Paraná, in southern Brazil. Londrina is the second most populous city in the state with a population of about 538,000 residents. According to 2012 stats, the Afro-Brazilian population of the state is about 26% (21.8% parda or brown and 4.3% preta or black). Source
